Tutorial - Magic Background Eraser

Issue: Easily remove/replace image background using Photo Pos Pro Magic Background Eraser (figure no.1)


In order to easily remove/replace image background simply follow these steps:

1. Open the desired (the object) picture - (Click on File -> Open menu or Ctrl+O, figure no.2)

2. From the Tools toolbar select the Magic Eraser (figure no.3)

3. In order to erase/reconstruct the unwanted background, bring the mouse to the background area you wish to erase/reconstruct. In order to erase/reconstruct, move the mouse over the background while holding down the mouse's left button (to erase) or while holding down the right button (to reconstruct an area that was erased). The erasing/reconstructing is performed over the active/selected layer(s) (figure no.4)

4. Continue doing the erasing - Magically the eraser will erase the background while leaving all the rest! (figure no.5)

5. Refine edges (Retouch Mask) - in order to get a professional results we must refine the mask edges to get a natural & realistic blend between both images. In order to refine the mask click on "Adjustments -> Retouch Mask" Menu, this will open Retouch Mask screen (figure no. 6). On the retouch mask screen leave the defaults and click OK

6. After the refine you'll get the image without the background with natural mask edges (figure no.7)

7. If you wish to set a new background to the image:
   • Click the Edit -> Copy menu in order to copy the image to the clipboard.
   • Open the desired new background image
   • Click Edit -> Paste -> Into Current Image menu .Next, drag & resize the object to the desired place & size, click Enter when finished
